This is a double recipe, which I would recommend. Mix softened butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla. Next mix in the flour about 1/2 a cup at a time. Finally be sure to mix well, then divide the dough into two sections. Wrap each section in plastic wrap. Chill for 1-2 hours before you roll out the dough. Sprinkle flour on surface and roll out the dough so it is 1/4″ thick. Grab your favorite cookie cutters, and cut out your shapes. Place 2″ apart on the cookie sheet. Heat oven to 350 degrees for 8-9 min or until edges begin to slightly brown.
Russian Tea Cake cookies literally melt in your mouth. These are my absolute favorite. Grab a glass of milk and a plate full, fresh from the oven!
