I am so excited for you to check out this fabulous 4th of July mantel. As retired veterans, every patriotic holiday is important to us.
It also means we are in full-blown summer fun.
I decided to visit our local antique shop the ChatterBox in Portage PA, with a $20 budget to update my patriotic mantel this year. Do you think I was able to stick to it?
So my total was $21.25, so I was just a little over.
This textured crochet blanket was the perfect pop of red, white, and blue I needed for this corner. I also added the husband’s Army jacket, since we are really going for a patriotic military theme.
I couldn’t walk away from this red and blue dictionary. Isn’t it a beauty?
we sprinkled in a few red vintage lanterns add even added a few flags to finish them off.
I love any excuse to sprinkle in some vintage bottles. I wanted to add a pop of green to balance off the red, white, and blue color scheme.
Then just used some floral sprays that had a hint of red to them. How cute is the hand painted bell?
50 flags from 50 states, vintage coffee can…..um yes, please!!!!
I always get so many compliments on my 12 Timbers Marquee sticks. Who doesn’t love changing phrases for each season? This is definitely one of my favorite home decor purchases ever!
