The Pancreatic Cancer Foundation

Let me start of by saying, this is not my typical home decor post. This is not a typical partner blog post either, because I am partnering with the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. As most of you probably already know, I am a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed in 2012, and I am blessed to still be here today, to talk to you about the third deadliest cancer…Pancreatic Cancer.

Pancreatic Cancer is the kind of cancer that makes you wish you had another type of cancer. Can you believe the survival rate hasn’t changed in the last 40 years? Pancreatic cancer research is severely underfunded, which is unacceptable.

Diagnosis

Pancreatic cancer is also often referred to as the “forgotten cancer” because of the amount of weeks to months a person has to live once they have been diagnosed. This type of cancer has only an 8% survival rate, for most it is a death sentence. We’ve got to do better than an 8% chance of living! It’s time to raise the survival rate.

So I am writing this blog today, to shine a light on this horrible version of cancer. If we want to raise the survival rate, we need everyone’s help. When a cancer kills 92% of patients, you’d think it would receive more than 2% of the funding.

How You Can Help

Help me help the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation raise the survival rate click here to donate today! Any dollar amount you can give helps increase research funding. They do not need your sympathy, what they need is results. I will be donating, and if you can help, even a little, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart friends!

You can also find them on Instagram here!

I love a good DIY project, and helping people create warm and cozy spaces in their homes. So if your someone who is ok with me being a hot mess express, a legging wearing, top bun sporting, kind of girl, then let's be best friends! You can never have enough friends right? I am a natural born nurturer, who always leads with my heart. I have learned it is ok to say no sometimes! My advice to you, take chances, in the end, you will regret the chances you did not take.
