It’s November and it is finally time to go full blown Christmas in our home. To kick off the season I am sharing how I decorated my farmhouse Christmas mantle. I cannot wait to share with you all of the spaces we have decorated in the coming months.

My Farmhouse Christmas Mantle

We live in a small town Portage, Pennsylvania, population very very small lol! Although we give off the appearance we live in a rural farmhouse, we are smack dab in the middle of our town. We do live in 100 year old home, that we are pouring all of our love into daily. I have always connected with farmhouse style, and one day hope to have land and a ton of animals.

This Christmas was a little different for me in terms of inspiration. After what 2020 has given and taken from us, feeling joy this year was a must-have. I have been drawn more to vintage decor over the last few years. I have been slowly collecting all the things to bring my vision to life.

My mantle this year was inspired by my love for neutral and wood decor. From the garland to the bottle brush trees, I wanted this to be a mantle it was hard to look away from. It is quite calming for me, and I hope you love it to!

The Focal Point

I don’t know about you but I think Christmas it’s the most wonderful time of the year!

This year I started with this gorgeous sign as my focal point. I used this last year in my gallery wall, and wanted to give it new life.

Flocked Garland

When I am decorating a new mantle, I start with the focal point, then move on to the garland. This year I am using this gorgeous King Of Christmas Flocked 9′ x 12′ King Flocked Garland.

Wood Touches

Next I always look for some height to match up with the artwork or focal point. It just so happens I have my husband thick chunky vintage hand-turned wood candlesticks.

Vintage Books

Over the last few years vintage books have been something I use to decorate all year round. These vintage white and neutral books are from my friend Jamie @booksbycolor_jaysworld she has the best vintage books around.

Christmas Trees

Cozy Pillows and Blankets

Just add a chunky blanket and a few pillows to a chair to give it that cozy vibe.

Stockings

I found these stockings last year and I just love a good chunky knit material. They look perfect with all the other colors and textures. I am linking a similar knit stocking I found this year.

Wrapping Paper

What could be prettier than brown Kraft paper? Just add some ribbon and a few green sprigs and you can bring the outside in.

Letter Board
