This is a little messy so be sure you have a piece of cardboard or an old plate handy. You want to start with painting the entire base with chalkboard paint.

Place the glasses upside down and paint the bottom of the glass. Allow to completely dry. I did two coats of paint on each glass. You can also add a piece of tape on the stem if you want to be a bit of a perfectionist and ensure your paint doesn’t run. Chalk paint is pretty thick so we didn’t have that issue.

Once the chalk paint was dry you can coat with ModPodge. This will make them dishwasher safe. Allow that to dry completely before using.

Finished DIY Chalk Wine Glasses

These DIY Chalkboard Wine Glasses will be the hit of your next party. You can get all of your supplies at your local Dollar store. Use a chalk pen to write your guests names on their glasses.

Can you imagine these in different colors for each holiday? Spring you could do pastels, red for Valentine’s Day or Christmas. Gold for New Years Eve, so many options.

I love a good DIY project, and helping people create warm and cozy spaces in their homes. So if your someone who is ok with me being a hot mess express, a legging wearing, top bun sporting, kind of girl, then let's be best friends! You can never have enough friends right? I am a natural born nurturer, who always leads with my heart. I have learned it is ok to say no sometimes! My advice to you, take chances, in the end, you will regret the chances you did not take.
