These are a traditional sugar cookie recipe, all you need to do is pick your favorite decorations and they will be ready in no time. These are a simple toll-out cookie, baked until golden brown. The kids love to roll them out themselves, and decorate, and well, frankly eat them!
Sweeten your table with these gorgeous Valentine’s day sugar cookies. These are fun to bake, and even more fun to decorate! You’ll need:
This is a double recipe, which I would recommend. Mix softened butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla. Next mix in the flour about 1/2 a cup at a time. Finally be sure to mix well, then divide the dough into two sections. Wrap each section in plastic wrap. Chill for 1-2 hours before you roll out the dough. Sprinkle flour on surface and roll out the dough so it is 1/4″ thick. Grab your favorite cookie cutters, and cut out your shapes. Place 2″ apart on the cookie sheet. Heat oven to 350 degrees for 8-9 min or until edges begin to slightly brown.
These yummy sugar cookies will be sure to brighten up your special someone’s Valentine’s Day. Be sure to also check out our favorite holiday family cookies recipes!
