I love this time of year, and our decorations aren’t just for inside! This year we partnered with Delaney Hardware and Steel Lighting Company for a front porch holiday makeover. We are so excited to be included in Delaney Hardwares “12 Doors of December” campaign and have the chance to upgrade the look of our front porch! With a little paint, new lighting, and new hardware ZW300 Touchscreen Smartlock, camera & Capri handle in black from Delaney Hardware, it was an amazing transformation. This may seem like a simple update, but it sure did change the look of our porch!
When we moved into our home, let’s just say the front porch has needed a major renovation. We plan on putting in a sunroom and new entryway next Spring, but for now I wanted to spruce it up cosmetically.
The first thing we did was change out the lighting. We have worked with Steel Lighting in the past and we just love the look of their pendant lamps. We went with the Westchester handcrafted pendant light. What I love about their lights are they are American made in California. As small business owners that means a lot to us.
The Westchester comes in a variety of seven colors, and four types of mounting option. The Upward-Sloping2, 11″ Straight-Arm3, 16″ Gooseneck4, and 23″ Gooseneck. You can also add a dusk to dawn sensor for an additional cost.
I just love the sleek farmhouse look of these lights. They truly added so much charm to this space. Who else thinks I need more of these all around the house? Be sure to follow Steel Lighting on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest for more inspiration. Also check out their website for all their ceiling and wall mounted lighting options.
We started with painting the trim around the door black. This gave it more of a farmhouse look. It definitely helped spruce up this space.
I encourage you to VOTE for your favorite door at www.DelaneyHardware.com/12Doors which also enters you into a drawing where a winner will be randomly selected to receive a Delaney handleset for their your front door – valued up to $500.
